What the role is

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

Join the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency as a National Caregiving Programme Coordination Trainee in the Industry Development Division (IDD1). This position involves supporting the implementation of key national caregiving initiatives, including the harmonised training framework for caregivers, the national caregiving programme, and a centralised skills validation institute.

The role requires strong stakeholder coordination across government and industry partners, managing strategic partnerships with enterprises to deliver training programmes, and monitoring programme effectiveness. The trainee will also be involved in identifying new collaboration opportunities to expand the reach and impact of these national caregiving initiatives.

What you will be working on

Stakeholder Coordination and Communication  

  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders across all organisational levels to ensure effective implementation of national programmes, and  facilitate clear communication channels and coordinate activities between government agencies, industry partners, and programme beneficiaries

Partnership Management  

  • Lead the identification, appointment, renewal, and ongoing engagement of enterprises and strategic partners to support national programme objectives, as well as develop and maintain strong working relationships with key partners to ensure sustained programme delivery and impact

Programme Monitoring and Evaluation  

  • Establish and maintain robust monitoring systems to track partner engagement and training programme uptake, conduct regular assessments of programme effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement based on performance data and stakeholder feedback

Business Development and Opportunity Identification  

  • Proactively identify and develop new partnership opportunities and collaborative initiatives that align with national programme goals, as well as explore innovative approaches to expand programme reach and enhance service delivery through strategic alliances

What we are looking for

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement across diverse groups including government agencies, private enterprises, and community organisations 
  • Ability to conduct robust monitoring and evaluation to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, managing competing interests and facilitating consensus-building among multiple parties 
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills to address implementation challenges and develop innovative solutions that meet diverse stakeholder needs 

Strong business development acumen to explore and establish new collaborative initiatives that advance programme objectives

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.

About SkillsFuture Singapore

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education (MOE). It will drive and coordinate the implementation of the national SkillsFuture movement, promote a culture and holistic system of lifelong learning through the pursuit of skills mastery, and strengthen the ecosystem of quality education and training in Singapore. SSG will strengthen the adult training infrastructure by taking on all existing functions of the Committee for Private Education (CPE) and guide the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) to enhance the capabilities and professionalism of adult educators. SSG will play a key role in the quality assurance for private education institutions and adult training centres.
