What the role is
What you will be working on
Assist in Business Analysis activities for Business Grant Portal onboarding projects, specifically for :
a) Workforce Development Grant – Job Redesign (Go-Live : Jan 2026)
b) Career Conversion Programme (Pilot : Sep 2025; Full launch : Mar 2026)Perform the business analysis for integrating WDG-JR and CCP into BGP, ensuring seamless user experience and grant processing workflows
Design and validate the end-to-end grant application journey, incorporating policy requirements and business rules for both programmes
Map integration touchpoints between BGP and existing systems, ensuring proper data flow and synchronisation
Support the CCP pilot implementation, gathering user feedback and recommending improvements for full launch
Develop test scenarios and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for both grant programmes
What we are looking for
Knowledge/Skills
Foundational understanding of IT systems, business processes, business analysis techniques, workflow mapping, and process optimisation gained through academic study or internships
Basic knowledge of user journey design and application processes, with willingness to learn government-specific frameworks
General understanding of public sector operations and compliance requirements, with particular value placed on candidates who have working experience in government agencies (Ministry or Statutory Board)
Basic familiarity with creating test cases, coordinating testing activities, and documenting feedback through academic projects or practical experience
Abilities/Aptitudes
Strong desire to understand complex systems and processes quickly, with logical approach to identifying issues and mapping workflows under guidance
Good interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders, gather feedback effectively, and coordinate testing activities with supervision and support
Systematic approach to documentation, testing coordination, and ensuring data accuracy whilst following established procedures and guidelines
Flexibility to work on multiple projects with different timelines, openness to learning new systems, and proactive attitude towards supporting pilot implementations
Enthusiasm for learning government processes, receptiveness to feedback, and commitment to developing expertise in grant system integration

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
