What the role is

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) - Corporate Management Traineeship provides exposure to strategic talent and leadership development initiatives. The trainee will engage in human resource (HR) programme development and data analytics whilst developing competencies in employee experience, stakeholder engagement, and digital tools.

What you will be working on

We are seeking a motivated trainee to support our HR programmes and analytics initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in building leadership capability and enabling career growth within a dynamic corporate environment.

Talent Development

You will contribute to the development and implementation of talent development strategies and programmes to build our talent pipeline. You will help design career pathways that help officers understand potential routes of advancement and development opportunities. You will also be involved in facilitating career movements to accelerate talents’ growth and help them build meaningful career journeys within CDA and the Public Service.

Leadership Development

Working closely with senior leadership, you will support the identification of critical roles and develop robust succession pipelines. You will assist in managing the implementation of 360-degree feedback processes and executive coaching for leaders, including coordinating assessments, analysing feedback data, and providing support to help leaders translate insights into development actions.

Data Analytics for Talent Insights

You will assist in analysing data and creating visual dashboards, helping to transform complex data into actionable insights for management decision-making. You will also explore digital technology and tools to enhance HR processes and improve the employee experience.

You may also be asked to support other ad-hoc duties related to the project or team operations, as needed.

  • Fresh graduate who has completed studies, with an interest in HR processes, employee experience and data analytics

  • Strong written communication skills and creative thinking abilities

  • Possess a collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.

About Communicable Diseases Agency

The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) was established in 2025 as a statutory board under Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) to serve as the central authority for public health policymaking to manage and control the threat of communicable diseases. This is aimed at strengthening Singapore's public health capabilities built during the COVID-19 response to ensure a unified command and coordinated approach across all situations, from routine disease control to future outbreaks. CDA safeguards the nation from communicable diseases through disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, vaccination programs, public education, and global health collaboration. Beyond domestic activities, the CDA aims to expand Singapore’s global outreach and foster collaboration with international partners.
