What the role is

We are seeking a motivated trainee to join our Learning & Development team to support data-driven training initiatives and process automation. This role offers hands-on experience in learning management systems, data analysis, and process improvement within a government setting.

What you will be working on

You will be working on the following projects:

Track completion of mandatory training

Design and develop automated workflows using tools such as Power Automate to

Capture information from various data sources; Identify staff with incomplete training records; and Automate reminder emails to track the completion of mandatory training.

Identify training gaps from staff Individual Development Plans (IDP) and 360-degree reports

Design and develop automated workflows using tools such as Power Automate to sieve through IDP and 360-degree reports to extract key training insights.

Training dashboard

Design and Develop Power BI dashboards to provide clear, insightful training data visualisations for management, enhancing data-driven decision-making

What we are looking for

  • A self-motivated and adaptable team player with resilience and strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Familiar with Microsoft applications such as Power Query and Power Automate, as well as data visualisation tools like Power BI.

  • Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities in identifying and suggesting process automation solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.

  • Experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Python will be useful.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
