What the role is
What you will be working on
Support the development of Traffic Light Indicators for SME credit lending through data analysis.
Research and develop early warning indicators for stress in the lending landscape.
Conduct comparative analysis of international methodologies and assess local data availability.
Design data collection processes and establish regular updating mechanisms for continuous monitoring.
Assist in systems testing, contribute to user experience by gathering feedback and recommend improvements.
Perform comprehensive testing of system enhancements to ensure functionality and reliability.
Document testing results, identify system issues, and provide detailed feedback on usability.
Collaborate with development teams to validate that system improvements meet operational requirements.
Contribute to quality assurance processes and user acceptance testing.
Provide support in AI implementation projects, including workflow automation and data processing.
Evaluate AI-powered OCR tools for document processing and data extraction to improve operational efficiency.
Support AI implementation projects and workflow automation initiatives.
What we are looking for
Learning Outcomes
Exposure to data analytics tools and process automation methodologies.
Introduction to digital transformation initiatives within government agencies.
Familiarity with systems testing, user experience evaluation, and AI applications.
Development of foundational problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Requirements
Interest in data analytics, technology, and digital solutions.
Basic knowledge of data tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL) will be an advantage.
Strong analytical mindset, curiosity to learn, and a can-do attitude

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
