What the role is

This role combines research with practical application, focusing on emerging technologies and their implementation in educational contexts as well as learner engagement strategies for digital platforms and products. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research and may also be required to support key organisational events.

What you will be working on

• Research & Innovation a. Research and analyse emerging learning technology trends to drive innovation in public sector learning b. Research and consolidate learner engagement strategies, including best-in-class industry practices, specifically for digital platforms and products • Technology Exploration & Evaluation: Actively experiment with new learning technologies and platforms • User Analytics: Perform user analytics, including but not limited to data collection, data transformation and presenting data insights • Event Support: Support the planning and execution of a conference on AI in L&D, including coordinating speakers and managing logistics

What we are looking for

• Relevant qualification, expertise, or interest in emerging technologies (e.g. adaptive learning systems), learning sciences, service design and/or research. • Event management experience or interest: Experience or interest in planning and supporting professional conferences or workshops.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
