What the role is

Participate in media monitoring, analysis, engagement, and management, to provide a better understanding of Singapore and its policies, and to connect people to community, government and opportunity, so as to support MDDI’s mission to engage hearts and minds.

What you will be working on

- Provide media analysis reports of various media platforms. - Participate in trials and implementation of new technology or tools to enhance capabilities - Media management at WOG events and press conferences. - Organise and participate in media engagement programmes.

What we are looking for

- Good degree from a recognised university with related discipline to the job - Good understanding of domestic and international current affairs - Able to exercise initiative, work independently and as a team player - Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into insights and recommendations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Interest in communications and analytics

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
