What the role is

The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes and works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal-related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touchpoint on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the First Responder for all animal-related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a humane and gracious society for all, where pet owners, communities, and animals co-exist within our biophilic City in Nature.

What you will be working on

[What the role is]

As part of the Education and Engagement Team, you will be responsible for creating an informed and knowledgeable society to be responsible pet owners and promote harmonious co-existence with animals. This is done through programmes and events which are educational and engaging. 

[What you will be working on]

The primary areas of focus will include, but not limited to: 

•    Develop and execute strategic marketing and publicity campaigns to promote nationwide policies and guidelines by AVS. This role will involve working with appointed Public Relations/Creative Services agencies. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and relevant stakeholders to develop campaign objectives, strategies, and timelines.
•    Create compelling content for various marketing channels including social media, email marketing, press releases and advertising campaigns.
•    Manage marketing budgets effectively and secure endorsements and partnerships to maximize campaign impact.
•    Perform other assignments or projects as required.

What we are looking for

•     Proven experience in marketing, communications to develop and execute successful marketing and publicity campaigns.
•    Passionate about animal welfare advocacy.
•    Creative, resourceful individual and able to perform within tight timelines. 
•    Good team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills. 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Willing to work after office hours and during weekends when required.

This is a contract position till 2028. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
