We are looking for an energetic team player to join our Integrated Outreach Central Division, specifically focusing on ethnic community engagement. This position centres on collaboratively enhancing community engagement programmes and working with to oversee partnerships that benefit ethnic communities.

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION: 

Established in 2001, the Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) vision is to build a nation of healthy people. We aim to empower residents in Singapore to attain optimal health, increase the quality and years of healthy life, and prevent illnesses, disability and premature death. To achieve this, HPB drives national health promotion and disease prevention programmes, spearheads health education initiatives and creates a citizen-centric approach where healthy lifestyle options are integrated and accessible to promote healthy living every day.

ABOUT THE DIVISION: 

To support the Board’s goals, the Integrated Outreach Central Division (Target Segment – Ethnic Community Outreach) collaborates closely with the community and healthcare partners to co-create regional and community-owned solutions to ensure good coverage and sustainable delivery of priority health promotion programmes in the community setting.

Key initiatives include Active Ageing, Physical Activity, Nutrition, Substance Abuse and Mental Health. These initiatives cover the general population, as well as targeted segments such as ethnic communities and underprivileged groups (such as lower-income families). 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is essential in working with the team to strengthen our community engagement initiatives and collectively managing partnerships, with a specific focus on supporting ethnic minorities i.e. Malay/Muslim and Indian residents. The incumbent will collaborate with team members and key stakeholders in identifying opportunities to implement and support initiatives for a healthier living environment. He/she will work alongside colleagues to foster strategic and sustainable partnerships to build a healthy ecosystem and integrate health promotion into service delivery. Scope of work will include but not limited to:

Partnership & Outreach Events Management

  • Work with team members and key partners to co-develop and implement targeted outreach events to the segment group

  • Collaborate with internal teams to incorporate HPB health promotion content and key messages that resonate for the targeted segment

  • Partner with colleagues to develop and adapt health-related materials and engagement resources for the collaborating stakeholders (e.g. People’s Association, Malay/Muslim and Indian community partners and organisations) to facilitate smooth execution of the targeted outreach activities

  • Work closely with team members to coordinate and provide operational support (e.g. logistics coordination) to the internal and external stakeholders during event implementation

  • Collaborate with the team to design a systematic approach to partnership and relationship management and maintain strong relationships with them to deepen the partnership. 

Data Management

  • Work with team members to track and evaluate key performance indicators including reach, participation rates (e.g. sign-ups) and referrals

  • Collaborate with colleagues to prepare qualitative and quantitative reports on outreach effectiveness and outcomes of the initiatives

Outreach Support

  • Support team efforts in planning and execution of outreach events

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment of outreach activities

  • Work with colleagues to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach initiatives

  • Collaborate with team members to provide operational support for special projects and initiatives as required

What we are looking for

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant working experience for at least 2 years

  • A good understanding of partnership development and relationship management. Ability to network and build strong collaborations with stakeholders and team members

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and versatility in managing different levels of partnerships whilst working effectively in team environments

  • Strong organisational and project management skills; good multitasking skills but with attention to details

  • Ability to work independently and with teams whilst also contributing independently when required

  • Passion to serve, particularly in the community setting, with a team-oriented mindset

  • Proficient in using Office skills like Power Point presentation to create compelling presentations for partners, Excel data management to aid in various projects and Word documents to draft research papers collaboratively
