What the role is

This traineeship offers the chance to help drive CSC’s data and AI transformation from the ground up, by shaping how our officers learn about, adopt, and apply data and AI in their work. You will work across College to design and roll out initiatives that shift mindsets, build literacy, and embed data and AI practices across the organisation. Through this role, you will gain experience in change management, content creation, internal communications, and capability-building strategy, while contributing to CSC’s mission of building a future-ready Public Service workforce.

What you will be working on

The trainee will be handling a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following: • Support the development of toolkits, playbooks, guides, and case studies to help CSC officers use data and AI confidently in their work; • Assist in planning and executing internal awareness campaigns, communications, and engagement initiatives to promote adoption; • Help coordinate learning sessions, roadshows, and showcases to highlight use cases and encourage experimentation; • Draft and edit content such as articles, infographics, and stories of practice to showcase data and AI applications across CSC; • Contribute to tracking adoption impact through surveys, analytics, and feedback analysis.

What we are looking for

• Qualification in Communications, Social Sciences, Business, Data Analytics, or related disciplines; • Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to draft clear and engaging materials independently; • Interest in data, AI, organisational change, and capability-building; • Creative, resourceful, and proactive team player; • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams and functions.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
