What the role is

You are responsible for overseeing the safety management system and ensuring the development of a safety culture in the Command.

What you will be working on

- Conduct inspections and workplace visits to ensure that safety measures and practices are being enforced - Develop, manage and implement the Command Safety Management System, policies and programs, and keep personnel updated on new policies/directives/orders - Work with the Formation/Group/Unit Safety Officers to promote open reporting, investigate safety incidents, and provide solutions to improve work processes for accident prevention - Promote safety in daily work and assist units in their preparation for the Annual Safety Audit by Digital and Intelligence Service Safety Inspector (DSI) - Nurture a strong and just safety culture in the Command - Supervise the development of safety officers - Instruct on safety topics in the schools and during safety seminars/conferences Challenge(s) - Having familiarity with safety matters in the SAF, industry and government bodies to position the Command at the forefront of safe practices - Establishing new working relationships and enhancing existing processes

What we are looking for

- At least 6 years of working experience, including a minimum of 3 years in safety related role - Relevant qualifications such as Workplace Safety and ISO 45001:2018 - Qualified ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor with an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or its equivalent is preferred but not compulsory - Conversant with data analysis with good writing and presentation skills Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
