What the role is

Looking for a workplace with passion and commitment to empower and restore lives of the vulnerable population in Singapore? Join the Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG)! RPG undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children and families. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending. As part of the RPG family, Prevention and Operations Policy (POP) division complements RPG’s remedial work, in coordinating whole-of-government efforts to prevent domestic violence and youth offending. POP also oversees the RPG centralised Data Management and Operational technology functions.

What you will be working on

- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organising data from various systems including ECRM, Case central, Excel - Support the preparation of regular caseload reports and development of dashboards covering metrics such as caseload ratio, inflow and outflow of cases, key performance indicators - Learn to create visualisations and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders - Support in tracking of key projects and deliverables - Support in ad-hoc tasks that include leveraging on technology to facilitate knowledge management

What we are looking for

Functional/Technical Competencies Required - Data Processing: Good ability to clean and process data using excel - Data Analytics & Insights: Ability to use data and analytics to generate insights for forward planning. - Technical Proficiency: Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, comfortable with project management tracking, familiarity with data manipulation and Power BI General Competencies - Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy - Good communication skills and ability to present information clearly - Interest in domestic violence related data - Eagerness and willingness to learn new tools and techniques , and leverage on technology for efficiency

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
