What the role is

Looking for a workplace with passion and commitment to empower and restore lives of the vulnerable population in Singapore? Join the Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG)! RPG undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children and families. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending. As part of the RPG family, Prevention and Operations Policy (POP) division complements RPG’s remedial work, in coordinating whole-of-government efforts to prevent domestic violence and youth offending. POP also oversees the RPG centralised Data Management and Operational technology functions.

What you will be working on

- Gather and document business requirements - Facilitate stakeholder workshops and present solutions - Support process improvement initiatives - Provide project administration support - Develop process maps, functional prototypes and proof of concepts using suitable platforms

What we are looking for

- Fresh graduates or up to 2 years’ experience with relevant experience in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; portfolio of prototype/development work preferred - Experience with prototype/wireframing/productivity tools (Power Platform, RPA, Figma, etc.) preferred - Interest in social work case management - Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment - Good communication skills and ability to present information clearly - Eagerness and willingness to learn new tools and techniques and leverage on technology for efficiency

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024, 2025 or 2026 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
  • Applicants must have no prior working experience and must be prepared to commit to a full-time traineeship.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2026 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2027 are eligible for the programme as well.
