The Product Manager will operate at the intersection of product strategy, operational excellence, and stakeholder management, ensuring that our smart-city solutions deliver real and measurable value to citizens, government partners, and the broader ecosystem.
This role calls for a balance of strategic foresight and hands-on execution, overseeing multiple problem spaces while shaping divisional priorities, processes, and partnerships. You will also provide operational leadership across teams, mentor others, and influence practices beyond your immediate domain.
Product Strategy & Leadership
Own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for a product or feature area.
Contribute to planning and evaluating features, informed by user research, customer feedback, competitor analysis, and market trends.
Break down product vision into actionable initiatives, ensuring clarity of priorities and alignment with organisational goals.
Lead the development of business cases, from conceptualisation and market research to POCs/POVs and approval papers.
Drive long-term strategies that enhance user experience, scalability, and sustainability across products or platforms.
Manage cross-functional team alignment and competing priorities to achieve objectives.
Support cost recovery and charging model execution, ensuring product viability and stakeholder buy-in.
Contribute to divisional OKRs, strategy papers, and reports that communicate progress and impact to senior leadership.
Delivering Operational Excellence
Lead and deliver smart-city initiatives that enhance city operations and citizen experiences.
Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring delivery from design to deployment.
Drive product launches and go-to-market readiness, including user engagement, showcases, and communications.
Develop and implement risk and incident management frameworks, ensuring operational compliance and readiness.
Champion the use of data-driven insights to guide strategic and operational decision-making.
Oversee product operations, including manpower planning, financial stewardship, vendor partnerships, procurement, and audit readiness.
Work closely with engineering, design, and architecture teams to ensure systems and platforms are effectively integrated and operationalised.
User Engagement & Product Impact
Lead user engagement and adoption strategies, enhancing satisfaction and long-term retention.
Develop frameworks for feedback management and continuous improvement, closing the loop between users, operations, and policy teams.
Use advanced user research, analytics, and A/B testing to validate ideas, shape features, and inform product direction.
Ensure that user and operational insights directly influence roadmap decisions.
Collaboration & Team Development
Manage small cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within scope.
Drive team meetings and rituals, ensuring objectives are clear and progress is tracked.
