What the role is

This role involves developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies for NCSS across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram to increase brand awareness and engagement. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on content creation, campaign management, and analytics monitoring whilst collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to align social media activities with organisational objectives.

What you will be working on

• Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
• Manage NCSS' social media presence across various platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
• Create and curate engaging and relevant content for social media platforms, including posts, stories, and videos.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing communications and strategic communications teams, to ensure social media activities align with the NCSS' objectives and goals.
• Manage the company's appointed digital marketing agency and collaborate with them to develop and execute social media campaigns.
• Monitor social media analytics to measure and report on the performance of social media activities, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
• Manage social media advertising campaigns, including targeting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
• Engage with the NCSS’ social media followers, responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay up to date with emerging social media trends and make recommendations for their implementation where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain relationships with social media influencers and other relevant stakeholders.
• Lead projects and assignments as and when needed. Perform duties that may be assigned from time to time.

What we are looking for

Functional / Technical Competencies Required

• Good understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
• Experience in creating and curating engaging social media content, including posts, stories, and videos.
• Basic proficiency in social media advertising, including targeting and performance tracking.
• Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what type of content target segments consume.

General Competencies
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Result oriented, with strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
