The Flight Operations Trainee will assist in the safety oversight of air operator certificate holders in accordance with the Air Navigation Regulations. The trainee will gain a better understanding of the safety regulatory framework and surveillance activities, and assist the section in modernising and enhancing some of the surveillance tools.

What the role is
What you will be working on
The Flight Operations Trainee will drive the digitalisation of current methods of industry application and regulatory approval required under regulations. The Flight Operations Trainee will also be involved in the digitalisation and enhancement of other oversight tasks for our air operator certificate holders.
What we are looking for
The flight operations trainee position is an entry-level position.
Applicants to the position must have relevant training or qualifications in aviation or related disciplines.
The trainee should have an intermediate understanding of Microsoft tools such as Excel and Word, and other relevant digital tools.
Experience in digitalisation projects would also be useful.

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
