What the role is

The Global Office (GO) team oversees the coordination of government-to-government youth relations and provides youth leaders with opportunities for representation at international and regional platforms. It also manages the Asia-Ready Exposure Programme (AEP) which empowers youth to be Asia-ready by providing broad-based opportunities through Institutes of Higher Learning (e.g. ITE, Polytechnic and University) for meaningful exposure to ASEAN member states, China and India (ACI), and strengthening their competencies in building friendships and networks within the region. Through these various initiatives, GO supports NYC’s thrust in developing outstanding youth with informed perspectives, awareness of global and regional issues, and a heart for Singapore.

What you will be working on

As the Manager (Global Office), you will support the team in fostering good relationships with local and overseas youth counterparts to strengthen regional youth cooperation, imbue youth with greater awareness of the region and global community, and equip them with the necessary competencies to engage meaningfully within Asia. This role will focus on managing partnerships with educational institutions, administering grant processes, analysing youth programme data, managing IT systems operations, and supporting international programme management. You will be expected to: • Manage partnership management activities for the Asia-Ready Exposure Programme (AEP) by liaising with Institutes of Higher Learning (e.g. ITE, Polytechnic and University) to support programme delivery and ensure alignment with programme objectives. • Manage grant administration processes including reviewing/designing SOPs, application templates, managing related systems, ensuring compliance and performance monitoring, and measuring youth development outcomes. • Support the team in managing data and systems operations including youth data, survey data, learning analytics, and the Learning Management System for international youth programmes and backend processes. • Onboard new systems and platforms for knowledge and data management while planning system and manpower transitions, as well as undertaking procurement processes to ensure continuity of operations. • Design and maintain process integration workflows that connect various IT systems by providing capacity building and technical training to interns and team members, including skills development in data management tools like PowerQuery, Plumber.Gov, Gather.Gov etc. • Support programme leads in the planning, coordination and implementation of international youth programmes, such as the ASEAN Youth Fellowship, Bilateral Youth Leaders Exchange Programmes, multilateral programmes etc.

What we are looking for

We are looking for individuals who possess the following competencies: • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience • Self-motivated, resourceful, meticulous and with high learning agility • Relevant experience in functional areas such as grant management, data management, process and system management • Good analytical and communication skills • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work in cross-functional teams and with diverse key partners • Knowledge of and interest in data and systems, the youth sector and international relations • Proven ability to manage data, systems, stakeholders and project development is preferred
