What the role is

MTI’s International Brand Office (IBO) was set up in 2025 to build awareness of Singapore with an international audience, in partnership with MTI’s statutory boards. IBO oversees brand strategy, campaign execution, and governance for brand Singapore, with a strong focus on business audiences.

What you will be working on

IBO is hiring an Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director on a 1-year contract to execute one or more of the following responsibilities: (a) Brand execution and campaigns • Produce and launch an international brand campaign, in partnership with IBO’s appointed creative agency. This will include managing the conceptualisation, production, and post-production of campaign assets such as videos, visuals, brand activations and campaign playbooks; incorporating feedback from MTI’s statutory boards into the campaign; and tracking campaign performance based on marketing metrics such as reach, engagement, and brand lift. • Sustain the campaign post-launch with supporting marketing activities, and track performance based on marketing metrics (which will vary based on channel/format). Activities can include paid media amplification, brand partnerships, and merchandise • Work with MTI’s divisions and statutory boards on adapting campaign assets and messages to their own campaigns or initiatives. This may include activities beyond conventional marketing and communications (for example, government-to-government or G2G meetings) (b) Brand governance and coordination • Update an existing SG brand toolkit or guide with additional brand architecture, visual treatments, and other details • Support or advise international branding efforts from MTI’s statutory boards • Commission brand health studies or other relevant research to measure the effectiveness of IBO’s brand campaign(s) (c) Others • Support, staff, and/or present IBO’s work to MTI and statutory board senior management • Drive or support other relevant MTI work as needed, including within and outside of MTI-CED

What we are looking for

• At least 4 years of brand and/or marketing experience, preferably in B2B or public sector, as part of a marketing agency or as part of a corporate/government brand marketing team • Experience in planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns spanning paid, owned, and earned channels • Experience supervising and working with marketing vendors such as creative agencies and market research firms • (Preferred) Experience with Singapore government procurement processes • A degree in a relevant disciplines including, but not limited to Marketing, New Media, and Mass Communication Skills and Competencies • Able to deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision • Able to influence internal and external stakeholders, including many who are not marketing or brand experts • Comfortable with ambiguous and complex working environments • Strong verbal and written communication skills
