What the role is

The incumbent will support philanthropic policy formulation through data analysis, dashboard creation, and sectoral research.
Facilitate decision-making with timely insights, identify process improvements, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations for Community Chest.

What you will be working on

1. Support the formulation and execution of philanthropic-related policies, strategies and messaging through better structuring of data and dashboards, and environmental scanning and sectoral research, to identify emerging trends and build competitive value propositions for Community Chest
2. Facilitate informed decision making by providing timely data analysis and insights to the Management
3. Identify process improvement opportunities and work across team to implement solutions for enhanced service delivery and internal processes

What we are looking for

Functional/Technical Competencies Required

1. Advanced aptitude in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
2. Proficiency in programming software, e.g. Python
3. Strong analytical skills and an ability to synthesise information
4. Experience in process improvement and data visualisation (e.g., creating dashboards using Power BI) will be an advantage

General Competencies

1. Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
2. Excellent problem-solving abilities and systematic thinking
3. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving data quality issues
4. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
5. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
