What the role is

The Data and Technology Architecture Department (DTA) develops enterprise architecture and platforms for collaboration and data flows, and provides engineering technology support for MAS' digital transformation. The department is also responsible for the formulation and administration of MAS' internal cybersecurity risk management measures.

What you will be working on

This role requires a technical foundation in cybersecurity combined with engineering skills to build, assess, and maintain security controls across applications and infrastructure.


a) Cybersecurity Assessment and Testing

  • Conduct manual and automated security assessments of networks, web applications, APIs and cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities and security gaps

  • Perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools and methodologies

  • Stay current with emerging threats, security trends and threat intelligence to evaluate and enhance the organisation's security posture

b) Application Security Engineering

  • Collaborate with development teams to establish security principles, processes and guidelines that promote secure coding practices, effective library management and comprehensive vulnerability assessment throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Partner with application and architecture teams to design and implement standardised security controls and common services that ensure consistent security measures across all applications

  • Work with infrastructure teams to develop and maintain automated security baselines and configuration standards for cloud and on-premises deployments

What we are looking for

  • Knowledge in cybersecurity or technology foundations

  • Analytical, research and writing skills

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
