What you will be working on

The HR and Payroll System (HRPS) cluster works closely with policy clusters and system users to translate HR policy requirements and processes into system requirements, delivering HR services to employees effectively and efficiently. As part of Public Service Transformation, PSD is collaborating with various stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain a Whole-Of-Government (WOG) HR and Payroll (HRP) system running on SAP. The jobholder is required to modernise and transform the delivery of HRP processes in the system, to uplift productivity and increase organisation effectiveness. This role includes include working with agencies across the Public Service, in collaboration with other PSD clusters, to conceptualise, design, develop and maintain suitable process and policy solutions for the next generation HRP system. [Specific Job Responsibilities] • Translate policy intent and directions into workable system solutions on the SAP platform and propose new work processes to ensure the most effective and efficient method for implementation. • Work on the enhancement and maintenance of the system and ensure its effectiveness and responsiveness in facilitating HR processes. • Have a keen sense of the User Experience (UX) for stakeholders and be able to translate these UX requirements into SAP solutions. • Work with stakeholders and consultants to develop and implement the overall change management plan for the project and ensure a smooth transition to the new HR & Payroll System. • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize HR processes.

[Work Experience & Competencies] An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies: • [Experience in HR Enterprise Systems] Experience in implementation and maintenance of HR Information Systems. SAP HCM (ECC or HANA) is preferred. • [HR Policies and Processes] Sound understanding of HR policy practices, and ability to incorporate and translate it into the HR system. • [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements] Ability to examine issues from a strategic perspective to identify opportunities/gaps, and evaluate, propose and implement initiatives to address these from a user-centric perspective. • [Working Effectively with Stakeholders] Ability to engage stakeholders to gather feedback, identify gaps in meeting the stakeholders’ needs and propose solutions, and communicate system solutions effectively. • [Project Management] Strong planning and analytical skills to leverage the use of data and research to manage project milestones and drive initiatives. [Personal Traits] • Organised, meticulous and able to multi-task • Good team player who is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Applicants will typically be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of the job posting.
