What the role is

The goal of Family Life Group (FLG) is to nurture a family-friendly society by strengthening family resilience through all stages of life, and to support families to overcome early risks and challenges to family relationships. The Operations Planning & Transformation (OPT) Division is responsible for developing the overall operational plans to strengthen and support family through all stages of life. It also oversees transformation, data and digitalisation, capability development and engagement strategies for FLG.

What you will be working on

• Assess data management processes to identify inefficiencies • Map and document "as-is" and "to-be" workflows using process modeling techniques • Recommend streamlined workflows, automation oppportunties, and document them into operating procedures • Support data management operations such as investigating data discrepancies • Liaise with product owners and developers on business requirements, and translating them into functional specifications • Facilitate workshops and clarification sessions between product owners and developers

What we are looking for

• Business process modeling and analysis: Familiar with various tools such as workflows and swimlanes • Data management: Knowledge of data management framework • Requirement analysis and documentation: Good documentation skills and ability to write clearly • Tools: Proficiency with MS suite of tools and ability to code in SQL or Python • Analytical thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities and logical reasoning • Precision in documenting processes and requirements • Ability to identify inconsistencies and gaps in information • Thoroughness in reviewing and validating findings • Good interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders • Good written and verbal communication skills Only shortlisted candidates will be notified within 4 weeks from the closing date of this position.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
