Senior Research Officer / Research Officer (Urban Entomology Section) - Contract

We are looking for a self-driven and committed individual to augment our research and surveillance programmes at the Environmental Health Institute (EHI). What you will be working on
The successful candidate will work in EHI and be part of a multi-disciplinary team that will focus on urban arthropod vector species in Singapore. You will have the chance to work with various inter-disciplinary teams. You will be involved in a myriad of entomology activities including, but not limited to: mosquito identification, sample processing, data entry, casual staff management, preparation and maintenance of logistics, vector surveillance and field studies.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Life Sciences or related disciplines
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Able to systematically perform routine workflow with an eye for detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Physically fit and possess the physical endurance for the challenges of field work
- Valid Class 3 driver's licence (vehicle provided)
