What the role is
As a Manager/Senior Manager in the Technology and Innovation Department at the National Arts Council, you will play a pivotal role in driving the intersection of arts and technology initiatives, primarily the Arts x Tech Lab, and other supporting programmes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programmes involving technologies and tech partners to catalyse innovation in the arts sector. What you will be working on
Arts x Tech Lab Project(s):
- Develop and implement programmes in NAC’s Arts x Tech Lab space to promote arts and tech, and grow the arts and technology community in Singapore.
- Ensure timely execution and delivery of assigned projects within scope and cost.
- Manage partnerships with project stakeholders, oversee project teams, and coordinate with project committees.
- Execute public launches, marketing, and publicity efforts for relevant programmes.
- Ensure compliance with governance and cybersecurity standards for all assigned projects.
- Undertake strategic reviews and assessments for future phases of assigned project(s)
Technology Innovation in the Arts:
- Manage other partnerships with technology providers, start-ups, and other relevant technology stakeholders, and coordinate cross-sectoral collaborations and inter-agency initiatives related to arts and technology.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and arts groups
- Conduct horizon scanning and research on emerging technologies and their potential applications in the arts.
- Assist in formulating policies and programmes to support technology innovation in the arts sector
Outreach and Programmes:
- Implement Art x Tech programmes (e.g. Showcases, Talks, Workshops) at major presentation and outreach festivals and platforms.
As part of day-to-day work, you will be undertaking planning, liaison, project management, producing and executing work. Apart from that, you will prepare reports, presentations, submissions and other materials for senior management and external partners where required.

The ideal candidate should have:
- Background in Arts Management, or in fields relevant to Creative Technologies would be advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project and/or event management, preferably in technology-related fields or the arts sector.
- Some familiarity and understanding of (including but not limited to), virtual reality, and augmented reality technologies, web3 concepts, game engines, and 3D software etc.
- Experience and/or proven track record in driving innovation and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Experience in business development and a good understanding of the Singapore arts ecosystem.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office suite.
- Passion for the arts and a keen interest in exploring how technology can enhance artistic expression and audience engagement.
- The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, forward-thinking individual who can navigate the complexities of both the technology and arts sectors, driving innovation while respecting artistic integrity and cultural values.
