What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of a team responsible for coordinating and driving LTA’s environmental sustainability efforts. We are seeking to better understand the carbon emissions associated with LTA’s value chain and to explore the development of a digitalised central tracking system.
Development of Scope 3 Emissions Inventory:
• Review the 15 categories of Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions under the GHG Protocol, and assess their relevance to LTA’s value chain.
• Collect and analyse data on employee commuting patterns, and develop a proposed methodology to account for emissions from this category.
• Analyse existing datasets on construction-related emissions, identify data gaps, and map upcoming key projects with relevant parameters to monitor (e.g. embodied carbon from construction materials).
What we are looking for
• Knowledge in sustainability/environmental sciences, engineering, physics, economics or other related quantitative fields of studies.
• Proficiency in data tools such as Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with carbon accounting and the GHG Protocol would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, data-handling and critical-thinking skills with close attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
