What the role is
In this role, you will actively support critical recruitment initiatives across CAAS, including the rigorous selection process for Probationary Air Traffic Control Officers. This hands-on experience will provide you with valuable insights into specialised aviation recruitment.
What you will be working on
You will support recruitment processes from initial sourcing to onboarding and employer branding initiatives.
Your day-to-day activities will include assisting with candidate screening and assessment, coordinating interview logistics, and supporting the preparation of recruitment reports and analytics. You will work alongside hiring managers to understand their requirements and help facilitate smooth recruitment processes, gaining valuable exposure to stakeholder engagement in a professional environment.
As a trainee, you will learn through hands-on experience whilst receiving regular guidance and feedback from experienced HR professionals. This supportive learning environment will help you develop foundational recruitment skills and broader HR knowledge, providing you with practical insights into the unique aspects of talent acquisition within the aviation industry.
What we are looking for
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders
Adaptability and self-motivation to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards and attention to detail
Technical proficiency and analytical mindset including Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel) and problem-solving abilities to support data-driven recruitment decisions
Results-oriented approach with excellent organisational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities and meet recruitment deadlines effectively

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
