UTEP Data and AI Engineering Traineeship [GRIT@Gov]

• Streamline existing workflows and processes: Enhance efficiency and productivity by automating repetitive tasks and optimizing existing processes.
• Tackle operational challenges: Address complex problems such as simulating airport environments to optimize system deployment strategies. You could be developing a digital twin of an airport to test and refine various operational scenarios before implementation.
• Data mining and visualization: Extract and analyse data to inform UA sector development strategies. You could be working on visualizing data trends to help stakeholders make informed decisions about future investments and growth areas in the UA industry.
• Produce innovative solutions and services: Develop cutting-edge solutions that can enhance CAAS’ capabilities, improve processes, and support the grown of the local UA ecosystem. This might involve creating AI-driven tools that can help the UA industry better understand the UA regulatory requirements and support them in their UA operation application processes.

• Training or certification in relevant areas such as engineering, data science, AI, computer science, or engineering will be advantageous.
• A strong foundation in data engineering and AI, with experience in AI project development from concept to deployment.
• Skills in workflow optimization and operational challenge resolution, demonstrated through prior internships or projects.
• Proficiency in data mining and visualization techniques, with examples of how these skills have been applied in real-world scenarios.
• Creativity and a problem-solving mindset.
