What the role is
We are seeking a Trainee to join our Aviation Gallery Development team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in gallery curation, exhibition design, and aviation heritage preservation. The trainee will work closely with curators and project managers to develop engaging gallery spaces that showcase Singapore's rich aviation history and inspire future generations of aviation professionals.
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for marketing and outreach efforts and initiatives to promote the Singapore Aviation Academy to local and international trainees. You will:
Assist in researching and gathering of aviation artefacts, historical documents, and multimedia content for gallery displays.
Support the cataloguing and documentation of aviation memorabilia, historical photographs and other relevant documents, and the verification of historical information to ensure accuracy and authenticity
Collaborate with design and content teams to assist in the development/creation of content and engaging and interactive exhibition layouts.
Provide administrative support for gallery development project including scheduling, correspondence, meeting coordination, budget tracking and procurement processes for exhibition materials.
What we are looking for
Training in Marketing and Communications, History, Design, or related field.
Excellent research and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience in digital media, gallery/museum curation, or graphic/exhibition design would be advantageous. Ability to work with historical documents and handle artefacts with care.

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
