What the role is

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Executive/Manager, Financial Governance to join the Singapore College of Islamic Studies (SCIS). This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial part in building the financial foundations of our growing college.

The Senior Executive/Manager, Financial Governance plays a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity and transparency of the college. This position focuses on financial governance oversight, ensuring compliance with regulations, monitoring funding allocations, and maintaining effective financial controls. Working alongside Finance Manager, this role provides strategic oversight on financial risk management, reporting, and internal audit functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial governance frameworks, and a proactive approach to managing institutional funds responsibly.

What you will be working on

1) Financial Oversight & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, policies, and governance frameworks.

2) Funding Governance

  • Monitor and report on the financial governance of college funding sources.

3) Policy Development

  • Establish financial governance policies to ensure transparency and accountability.

4) Budget Monitoring & Reporting

  • Oversee fund allocation, track expenditures, monitor contracts and provide financial reports.

5) Risk Management

  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.

6) Internal Controls & Audits

  • Strengthen financial controls and support audit processes.

7) Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance teams, regulatory bodies, government agencies and institutional leadership.

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA are preferred.

  • Atleast 5 – 7  years of experience in financial governance, compliance, or risk management.

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.

Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
