As an Uplift Officer, you will be part of the team to drive the end-to-end coordination of strategies and interventions for students from disadvantaged backgrounds whose needs are multi-faceted and complex. These efforts aim to help our target students achieve regular attendance and good foundation in learning, be resilient, and have positive social-emotional well-being, so that they are able to progress well and realise their full educational potential.

What you will be working on
• Drive policy, planning and coordination of support for students with additional needs from disadvantaged backgrounds within MOE and across government agencies, which include but are not limited to tracking and monitoring systems level outcomes, coordinating evaluation of key efforts, and overseeing the alignment of efforts across MOE and other government agencies
• Enhance schools case management systems’ interface with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and related agencies as part of the Whole-of-Government social service delivery for target students and their families
• Enable schools’ support of target students by raising their capacities and capabilities, and through resourcing, programming and partnership with the community
• Oversee target students’ developmental outcomes in collaboration with relevant teams in MOE
This is an individual contributor role. We welcome individuals with or without work experience to apply for the position.
What we are looking for
• Appreciation of both strategic intents and operational considerations
• Strong conceptual, analytical and writing ability
• Competent in basic statistical analysis. Proficiency in statistical tools would be a bonus.
• Ability to work well independently with strong personal drive
• Good team player, ability to communicate and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds
• Experience in working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds
