What the role is

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

This traineeship entails supporting and delivering both Media Arts and Design School and School of Business’ outreach and marketing initiatives. This position combines and skills-up the trainee in administrative precision with creative execution — supporting event coordination, content creation, and digital communications to strengthen both school’s brand presence and engagement with prospective students.

What you will be working on

  • Provide operational and creative support for outreach events (Open Houses, school visits, competitions).
  • Coordinate logistics: venue setup, materials preparation, registration.
  • Assist in developing engaging on-ground experiences for visitors.
  • Develop and adapt marketing collaterals (posters, social media graphics, banners, slides).
  • Support management of social media pages and create engaging digital content (videos, reels, visuals).

What we are looking for

  • Diploma graduate in Marketing, Communications, Design, or Event Management.
  • Competency in Canva or basic Adobe Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
  • Familiarity with social media content creation and platform management (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook).
  • Good organisational and multitasking skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities; creative, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or in a team.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
