What the role is
What you will be working on
- Be part of the team to co-develop an AI-assisted Scan2BIM technology that integrates AI model for automated point cloud semantic instance segmentation and support 3D BIM reconstruction, in partnership with a reputable tertiary institute.
- The development work includes:
(a) Design streamlined input/output processes and data workflows for users through a server or web-based interface.
(b) Enhance existing algorithmic logic and computational efficiency of the scan-to-BIM solution for better performance to support larger file sizes and more efficiently process large-scale point clouds from real-world projects.
(c) Deploy the AI model and GUI on a server or web platform with sufficient CPU/GPU resources to support AI inference.
(d) Implement secure access control mechanisms (e.g., password protection, user authentication) to safeguard data and maintain system integrity. Conduct cost analysis covering maintenance, software updates, system monitoring, and server management.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
