Manager (Supervised Practice)/ (Professional Conduct and Professional Standards)

What the role is

As a member of the secretariat team in Supervised Practice Division, you will be involved in reviewing and managing the policies and operations of the Healthcare Professional Boards in regulating healthcare professionals. Your work responsibilities will include the following: • Management of the supervisory framework for the healthcare professional • Pairing of eligible supervisors to the healthcare professionals • Processing of assessment reports as well as the related applications and the notifications of outcome letter to institutions / healthcare professionals • Monitoring and reviewing of healthcare professional’s performance • Coordination and provides secretariat support for the supervisor training workshops • Staffing of Board/Council and professional committee meetings, as well as administrative support to the Boards/Councils. • Handling of enquiries You will also be part of the Professional Conduct and Professional Standards Division, contributing towards the maintenance of high standards among healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include the following: • Support various committees in complaints and disciplinary processes • Advise on possible avenues/options and draft comprehensive reports • Collaborate with legal counsel on case preparation for Disciplinary Tribunals • Assist with projects related to medical ethics • Draft responses to enquiries from doctors and the public

• Analytical and incisive thinking, with the ability to explore issues from multiple perspectives • Excellent command of spoken and written English • Strong collaborative skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders • Nuanced communication skills, including the ability to tailor approach to different personalities • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple assignments and tight deadlines • Willingness to work beyond office hours during peak periods
