What you will be working on

We are seeking an early professional to join our HR Data Office. This role is perfect for someone has process change management skillset and HR technology and/or data platforms such as Python, Databricks, Tableau, Workday, SuccessFactors, or other HR SaaS solutions. We also welcome technologists from other domains who are willing to expand their horizon.

The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in the intersection of HR, data, and digital tools, with demonstrated experience in leveraging HR systems and data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. 

 

You will serve as a subject matter expert and strategic business partner, collaborating with internal HR teams, external vendors, and CIO teams. You'll lead initiatives involving Workday, Databricks, Tableau (as a reporting and analytics platform), while also driving the exploration and assessment of Generative AI tools, workflow automation, and project management. Your experience will be crucial in evaluating new tools and processes to enhance HR operations.

HR Systems & Data: 

  • Review and functional testing of Human Capital Management modules (Darwinbox, Workday) to ensure optimal usability and strategic alignment with HR objectives. 

  • Leverage your SaaS platform expertise to collaborate with internal tech teams in validating data outputs from Databricks dashboards and reports. 

  • Identify and prioritize data quality issues and improvement opportunities, applying business acumen and technical understanding. 

 

Project Coordination: 

  • Take ownership of HR technology and data-related projects, including strategic planning, resource coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management. 

  • Drive project milestones, prepare comprehensive status updates, and facilitate effective communication between HR and technical teams. 

  • Map the end-to-end process of each HR function using Figma and assist with documenting the current versus proposed state, which may also help identify technical tool recommendations to support these processes.  

  • Apply project management best practices. 

 

AI & Automation Strategy: 

  • Drive the strategic exploration and implementation of Generative AI tools and workflow automation platforms (e.g., Workato, Zapier) for HR use cases. 

  • Develop comprehensive business cases, conduct feasibility assessments, and lead pilot testing initiatives. 

  • Apply change management principles to support adoption of new technologies. 

 

Strategic Vendor & Technology Assessment: 

  • Conduct Buy vs Build analysis initiatives by conducting thorough evaluations of new HR tools and platforms. 

  • Gather and synthesize complex user requirements, conduct comprehensive vendor comparisons, and provide strategic recommendations. 

  • Support executive decision-making on technology investments and solution architecture. 

What we are looking for

  • Fresh graduates with experience (internship) in data or technology roles 

  • Experience with enterprise HR SaaS platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors) or data analytics background would be advantageous 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision making 

  • Excellent project coordination capabilities 

  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to business users 

  • Experience with data analytics tools and platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) 

  • Knowledge of workflow automation tools and process improvement methodologies 

  • Previous involvement in system implementations or technology assessments 

  • Experience with change management and user adoption strategies

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
