Your Journey Begins Here:
This traineeship position supports both the Travel Agents & Regulation department and Tourist Guide department in driving regulatory and digital transformation initiatives within Singapore's tourism sector. The role focuses on change management, stakeholder communications, and training coordination to ensure smooth implementation of new regulations, system, and frameworks. The trainee will work across both departments to develop communication strategies, engage with industry stakeholders, and support digital adoption efforts.

What you will be working on

1.Strategic Communication Development:

Develop communication approaches and messaging strategies for travel agents and tourist guide, includes drafting messages, producing eDMs, and tracking communication effectiveness

2.Digital Content Creation:

Create and produce electronic direct mail campaigns (eDMs) and InfoHub articles to inform travel agents and tourist guides on tourism updates

3.Stakeholder Engagement Management:

Manage email communications to key stakeholders regarding travel agents and tourist guides changes

4.Change Management:

Understand the new travel agents and tourist guides licensing system, TRUST 2.0’s release 2 scope and support change management such as facilitate workshops, focus groups, and feedback sessions to understand concerns and gather input

5.Framework Implementation Support:

Support the operationalisation of the Future of Guiding 2.0 framework by fine-tuning processes and procedures with Appointed Training Organisations (ATOs)

6.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal teams, system vendors, and tourist guides to drive digital adoption through effective training initiatives

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
