What the role is

Main Responsibilities:
1.Develop Statistical Models and Imputation Methods
a)Conduct statistical analysis (such as multivariate modelling), to identify and establish visitor profile groups across multiple dimensions, and attribute the spending patterns accordingly
b)Design and implement imputation models for missing values using advanced statistical techniques
c)Validate findings and model performance, by applying statistical tests such as Kruskal-Wallis Test and One-Way ANOVA
2.Data Preparation and Integration
a)Integrate and standardise multiple datasets, with large number of fields and records
b)Reconcile differences in field names, value encodings, and business logic across tables
c)Ensure data integrity and consistency by implementing quality assurance processes
d)Document data transformation procedures, and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries
What we are looking for

-Trained in a quantitative discipline: Business Analytics, Statistics, Applied
Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline
-Experience with statistical analysis and model validation
-Experience working across large datasets, ensuring data quality and deriving meaningful insights
-Proficient in statistical programming tools (e.g., Python, R), and database scripting languages (e.g., SQL)
-Strong research, planning, organisational, and time management skills.
-Good presentation and communication skills

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
