What the role is

This traineeship is with the HR Hub team of the Human Resource Department (HRD). The HR Hub team centrally manages operational queries and activities to ensure operational performance and business responsiveness. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive business process reviews of our human resources processes. You will analyse existing HR workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and drive process redesign efforts to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.

What you will be working on

You will conduct reviews of HR processes including contract management, deployment, and onboarding. Your work will involve mapping current processes, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and identifying bottlenecks and streamlining opportunities. You will design future state processes and support implementation, with a key focus on identifying automation opportunities using Power Automate and other tools. You will create process documentation and training materials while collaborating with HR teams and stakeholders to ensure successful transformation.

What we are looking for

- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail - Proficiency or keen interest in process mapping concepts relating to Human Resources - Technical skills in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) for automation and workflow development would be highly favourable - Strong stakeholder engagement skills, eager to learn, and interested in driving workflow improvement through technology solutions.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
