The Income Security Policy Division (ISPD) drives national efforts to help Singaporeans achieve greater financial security in retirement.
As part of this dynamic team, you can expect the role to be challenging yet fulfilling, where you will be exposed to the spectrum of policy making, from policy design to scheme implementation and public communications. In doing so, you will develop an understanding of Singapore’s social security landscape, analyse a wealth of data from multiple agencies (e.g. housing, healthcare, retirement etc) and engage a variety of stakeholders (e.g. tripartite partners, industry associations, media)
You will work closely with the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board, Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of National Development (MND) and other key stakeholders to formulate, review and implement policies and initiatives that help Singaporeans meet their retirement, healthcare and housing needs.
You will have the opportunity to work on the following policies:
a. Review how the CPF system may evolve with changing work patterns and choices, so as to ensure that workers with less regular CPF contributions can build up sufficient savings for retirement;
b. Strengthen the CPF system to better help platform workers and self-employed persons grow their retirement savings;
c. Formulate and review policies to balance the use of CPF savings for housing and healthcare needs while safeguarding long-term retirement adequacy; and
d. Oversee policy-ops matters related to the collection of CPF contributions (e.g. wage classifications, late payments)
You can also look forward to a nurturing working environment, with experienced supervisors supporting your career development.
