What you will be working on
You and your team will be responsible for the following:
- Lead a team in formulating policies, operational strategies and plans to enhance after-death facilities and services.
- Oversee projects and initiatives to improve service delivery and operational readiness, including conceptualising new ideas, developing project scopes, conducting market research, and engaging the industry to understand the supplier landscape.
- Plan and manage end-to-end procurement activities, including the drafting of requirements and tender documents, calling, evaluation and award of tenders and quotations, while ensuring compliance with Government Procurement guidelines.
- Plan and coordinate emergency response efforts for after-death operations, including conducting readiness exercises and ensuring operational preparedness.
- Oversee budget planning, tracking and utilisation, and conduct variance analyses to ensure expenditure aligns with approved allocation.
- Manage land and building assets, including evaluation and assessment of temporary occupation licences and records management in accordance with guidelines
What we are looking for
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in planning, procurement or policy work.
- Familiarity with budget management, government procurement guidelines and processes would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, conceptualisation and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
- Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity.
- Self-driven and always ready to strive for improvement.
- Good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders.
