What the role is

The trainee will support the development and deployment of data analytics solutions for supply chain optimization. The role involves working with large datasets, applying data engineering and analytics techniques, and contributing to AI/ML-based decision support systems.

What you will be working on

The trainee will be tasked to perform a few of the following tasks: • Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured supply chain data. • Develop data pipelines and dashboards for real-time insights. • Assist in building predictive models to support demand, supply, and procurement planning. • Work with senior engineers and domain experts to validate data-driven solutions.

What we are looking for

Job Requirements • Fresh graduates with a degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data engineering frameworks. • Prior internship or project experience in data analytics is preferred but not mandatory. Key Competencies to be developed • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). • Hands-on experience in machine learning model development and deployment. • Knowledge of supply chain analytics and decision support frameworks. • Skills in big data handling, ETL processes, and cloud-based platforms.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
