What the role is
What you will be working on
This traineeship offers an opportunity to support the Data Science & Analytics Centre in both creative and operational capacities. The trainee will contribute to marketing, design and administrative activities while developing skills in communication, creative design and centre operational support.
Key areas of work and competencies to be developed:
Creative Design Skills: Design and develop marketing collaterals, brochures and presentation materials.
Content Development: Assist in creating engaging content for industry engagement.
Professional Communication: Coordinate and manage official communications, including email correspondence, developing clarity, professionalism and stakeholder engagement skills.
Operational Support Skills: Support centre operations such as scheduling, prepare and send official communications and administrative coordination.
Adaptability & Teamwork: Provide general support for day-to-day centre activities, developing flexibility, problem-solving and collaboration skills in a professional environment.
Design and produce marketing collaterals, brochures and presentation materials for the Centre.
Create engaging content for industry engagement purposes.
Coordinate and manage email communications for internal and external stakeholders.
Support operational tasks such as scheduling, prepare and send official communications and administrative coordination.
Provide general assistance for day-to-day centre activities.
What we are looking for
A relevant certificate in Marketing, Communications, Design, Media or a related field.
Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, PowerPoint or Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to create clear and engaging content.
Basic administrative or operational experience, e.g., from internships, projects, or volunteer work.
Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks with a positive, can-do attitude.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.
All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
- Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.
Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
