What the role is

BizTech Group catalyses the development of breakthrough technologies for strategic impact. Important to this mandate is the tech analysis function, to monitor market trend, discern driving forces, unpack core capabilities, and extract ecosystem insights for key decision making.



Join the Tech Analysis team, a forward-thinking group excited by new developments in emerging technology and brings out new, innovative ideas across areas such as AI, future of networks and quantum communications.

What you will be working on

As a tech analyst, you will play a key role in researching cutting-edge technologies, analyzing market trends, and assisting in developing strategic recommendations for IMDA programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates passionate about the intersection of technology and business strategy. Responsibilities include 

 

1. Track and contextualize market dynamics in the space of AI, Quantum Comms, etc. 

2. Unpack key technology capabilities, develop reports and presentations on market intelligence findings 

3. Conduct international landscape scans, including supply, demand, policy, and governance 

4. Collaborate with senior analysts prepare foresight reports and provide strategy recommendations  

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business with technology or related field 
  • Prior internship or project experience in tech market research, product innovations, or policy frameworks 
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts, data-driven technologies, or digital ecosystems 
  • Comfortable in reading technical papers  
  • Keen interest in technology and wide-spectrum intellectual curiosity 
  • Collaborative team player who works well with ambiguity and change 
  • Analytical thinking and good writing skills

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
