[LTA-PT] SENIOR MANAGER, BUS EXCELLENCE AND MAINTENANCE COMPLIANCE
What the role is
What you will be working on
As part of the Bus Excellence & Maintenance Compliance team, you will lead strategic initiatives that not only ensure the sustainability, safety, and regulatory compliance of Singapore’s public bus fleet, but also build strong public affinity for our bus assets.
You will play a critical role in enhancing bus service reliability, commuter experience, and fleet innovation by driving effective maintenance planning, overseeing operational trials, and engaging diverse stakeholders. Your efforts will directly support the goal of making Singapore’s bus network a trusted, inclusive, and sustainable public transport that commuters feel proud to use.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Setting long-term maintenance and asset preservation strategies to ensure the durability, reliability, and sustainability of the bus fleet.
2. Ensuring compliance with maintenance regimes set by Public Transport Operators (PTOs), aligned with regulatory and industry standards.
3. Leading investigations into bus-related incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and implementing safety and preventive measures.
4. Facilitating public engagement and feedback sessions with commuters and bus operators to gather insights that inform fleet design enhancements, service quality improvements, and greater public identification with our buses.
5. Planning and overseeing operational trials—including electric, cleaner energy, and inclusive bus designs—to assess both technical feasibility and commuter experience.
6. Driving bus safety initiatives, monitoring implementation, and leading continuous improvement efforts.
7. Enabling interoperability between legacy bus fleets and new charging infrastructure, ensuring a seamless transition to future-ready bus operations.
8. Championing initiatives that humanise the bus system, such as showcasing bus fleet innovation, improving onboard commuter experience, and highlighting sustainability achievements to foster public pride and emotional connection with the bus network.

At least 10 years of relevant experience in automotive technology operations or related fields, including project management and customer/stakeholder engagement.

Proven ability to connect technical initiatives with public-facing outcomes, building trust and visibility in public services.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.

Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong passion for public transport improvement, sustainability, and enhancing commuter experience.
