What the role is

The IMDA develops and regulates the infocomm and media sectors to create a dynamic, holistic and exciting ecosystem filled with growth opportunities through talent, research, innovation and enterprise. The Digital Leaders Programme Office (DLPO) seeks to help local non-ICT enterprises accelerate their digital transformation efforts through building of in-house digital capabilities and adoption of emerging technologies to become more resilient and competitive globally. Through collaboration with technology partners and industry experts, we uplift leadership’s mindset, instil confidence in companies and build self-sustaining capabilities for impactful business outcomes.

What you will be working on

As part of the DLPO team, you will be involved in designing and implementing initiatives and strategies to support Digital Leaders.    

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Engage and onboard new companies onto DLP. Work with these companies to design digital roadmaps for business growth, scope meaningful digital projects and facilitate access to resources and talent.  
  • Identify and collaborate with partners such as industry associations, academies, technology experts and consultants to drive emerging tech (e.g. AI) adoption in Digital Leaders e.g. Tech Discovery Workshops, roundtable discussions. 
  • Design and implement suitable programmes to help the companies build their tech competencies and market knowledge, facilitate, and support digital innovation and development e.g. Digital Leader Workshops 
  • Drive marketing and outreach initiatives to build awareness and interest in the programme

What we are looking for

  • Background in Marketing, Information Technology, Business Technology, or related discipline  
  • A strong interest in digital technology and its business applications and an eagerness to learn and explore digital tools  
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for engaging multiple stakeholders 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  
  • Prior experience working on projects involving technology, AI or innovation is a strong advantage.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
