What the role is

Singapore Environment Institute (SEI) is the training and knowledge division of the National Environment Agency (NEA). Within NEA, SEI distils and documents the knowledge residing with experienced staff, as well as knowledge from other relevant sources, for transfer to the next generation of officers via its training programmed. The Institute also develops and up-skills the local industry’s manpower capabilities, thereby adding value to Singapore’s environmental arena. SEI’s public lectures feature renowned environmental speakers who catalyze thought leadership and foster communities of best practices. SEI’s collaborations with, and strong support from industry, academic and government organizations, are instrumental to its goal of ‘Advancing Knowledge in Environmental Sustainability.

What you will be working on

  • Provide general administrative and secretarial support in the development of departmental learning roadmaps and engagement sessions

  • Provide support in data collection and cleaning for visualisation and analysis for the various development of L&D dashboards

  • Produce social media communications calendar and content to create awareness and recall with targeted internal stakeholders

What we are looking for

  • Good organisational skills
  • Good analytical skills and able to work independently as well as in a team

Successful applicant will be offered a 6-month traineeship programme.

Eligibility for GRIT@Gov traineeship

The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector.

All trainees must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and
  • Graduated or graduating in 2024 or 2025 from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and other Educational Institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
  • Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2024 or 2025.

Trainees who complete their studies from Universities, Polytechnics, the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) or other Educational Institutions within 2025 but who will only receive their qualification/certification award in 2026 are eligible for the programme as well.
