What the role is

What you will be working on
Responsibilities
1) Teaching
Conduct lessons across LSC modules that engage students (youths and adult learners) to develop the necessary life skills/communications skills
2) Module Development
- Develop and maintain new/existing teaching curriculum for modules. This includes review of existing curriculum and make recommendations on areas of improvements;
- Ensures that curriculum is industry relevant and promoted Self-Directed Learning
3) Administration
Be part of a module team to support the module teaching staff in delivering lessons and carry out other module-related matters effectively
4) Industry Engagement
Assist to identify and develop partnerships with relevant partners for efforts such as curriculum co-creation and programmes
Requirements
- Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners
- Self-driven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
- People-oriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Enjoy new challenges and executing projects
- Relevant qualification in the field of English Language/Applied Linguistics/Mass Communication/Communication Studies/Arts and Social Sciences
- Candidates who possess experience in teaching at tertiary level or corporate training will have an added advantage
- Proficient in the use of social media and digital tools for teaching and experience in data visualisation and/or communicating with data would be desirable
What we are looking for
Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
