What the role is

The Community Officer serves as Lorong AI's strategic connector. The Officer identifies opportunities for collaboration, facilitates meaningful relationships between members, and translates community insights into actionable initiatives. This role requires an experienced relationship builder who is energized by bringing diverse stakeholders together and skilled at fostering ecosystems where innovation thrives.

What you will be working on

Key Responsibilities • Host engagement activities including office hours, networking sessions and collaborative workshops • Maintain knowledge of member expertise and needs to facilitate strategic introductions and partnerships • Identify community trends and test new approaches such as peer learning groups and project matchmaking • Document member stories, feedback and outcomes to inform programme development and leadership recommendations Officer Will Excel in This Role If They • Are energized by facilitating group interactions with strong recall of individuals and their work • Read interpersonal dynamics well and spot synergies between members • Think systemically about networks and stakeholder ecosystems • Thrive in ambiguous environments, designing iterative approaches to enable others' success

What we are looking for

• Background in Communications, Social Sciences, Design, Innovation or related fields • 3–5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, partnership development or stakeholder management • Experience in research translation, innovation ecosystems or public-private collaboration is an advantage • Interest in AI, technology or design-led innovation preferred • Must be able to work in the evenings, when needed Note: This is a temporary contract position up to 1 year.
