Finance Officer (System and Transformation)

What the role is

The Finance Officer will support finance operations through data analytics, dashboard development, and process automation and support digital transformation in finance operations. The officer will also be responsible to improve financial reporting capabilities, enhance training programmes, implement digital solutions, and develop analytical tools to enhance decision-making and improve finance operational effectiveness across the organisation.

What you will be working on

• Design, develop, and enhance operational dashboards using data analytical and visualisation tools to provide meaningful insights to end-users in both HQ and Overseas Missions, enable early detection of financial anomalies compliance gaps, and delivery of actionable intelligence to Senior Management. • Engage end-users to evaluate effectiveness and useability of dashboard, and to follow-up on the identified areas of improvements to ensure relevance to meet operational requirements. • Engage stakeholders within Finance to examine current processes that are highly manual, and their pain points. Identify opportunities for automation of high-volume, routine reporting and repetitive work processes and support the development and pilot of semi-automated or fully automated solutions to simplify workflows. • Conduct reviews of existing processes and guidelines to identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancement. Recommend process improvements to increase operational effectiveness and efficiency. Support the automation of routine processes and workflows to optimise resource allocation. • Support project planning, execution, and monitoring activities for digital transformation initiatives. Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to ensure successful implementation of digital solutions. Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely implementation of projects. deliverables are met within specified timelines. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of executed solutions and explore improvements if needed. Evaluate technologies including AI and machine learning applications to identify resourcing trends and other operational patterns. Assist in designing and deployment of solutions for anomaly detection and predictive analytics to support operational excellence.

What we are looking for

To meet the challenges of this role, you must be a Singaporean and preferably with: • A Degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field • Experience in financial analysis, data analytics, and business intelligence tools with good understanding of data management principles. • Experience in business transformation, process re-engineering and change management. • Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation and familiarity with at least one data visualisation tool (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Proficiency in process mapping and workflow analysis tools. You will be working in a fast-paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
