What the role is

We are seeking a temporary Data Management Assistant to conduct a comprehensive cleanup and organisation of digital content stored on our servers. This role involves systematic data management, content archival, and collaboration with multiple teams to optimise storage usage and establish proper archival processes.

What you will be working on

- Data Cleanup and Organisation Conduct thorough review and cleanup of digital files stored on servers to reduce storage usage. Identify and remove working drafts, b-rolls, duplicate copies, and obsolete content following established protocols. Organise remaining files into logical folder structures with consistent naming conventions. - Content Archival Management Collaborate with various teams within the department to identify past content requiring archival. Assess historical content that has not been systematically managed and determine appropriate archival actions. Create and maintain comprehensive records of archived materials for future reference. - Documentation and Reporting Maintain detailed logs of cleanup activities, including files removed, archived, and reorganised. Prepare summary reports on storage optimisation achievements and recommend ongoing data management practices. Document processes and procedures for future reference. Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and team leads. - Quality Assurance Ensure all data management activities comply with organisational policies and data protection requirements. Verify the integrity of archived content and maintain backup protocols during the cleanup process.

What we are looking for

- Educational Requirements Good educational background. Current students pursuing relevant diplomas or degrees are welcome to apply. No specific field of study is required, though media, communications, or information management backgrounds are advantageous. - Essential Skills Good computer literacy with proficiency in file management and folder organisation systems. Familiarity with common video file formats and digital media storage concepts. Strong attention to detail with ability to systematically review and categorise large volumes of content. - Preferred Experience Previous experience in video production, media editing, or content creation is highly valued. Understanding of video production workflows including working drafts, b-rolls, and final outputs. - Personal Attributes Highly organised with excellent time management skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes and systems. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multiple teams. Ability to work independently whilst following established guidelines and protocols. Flexible approach to problem-solving when encountering unclear file structures or content ownership. Reliable and trustworthy when handling sensitive or confidential materials.
