As a Senior Engineer / Engineer, you will be working with a team at the System Resilience Division of Joint Operations Department. The Division ensures resilience and reliability of water systems through the review of operations and maintenance processes, the review and testing of emergency response plans, and coordination with home-front agencies.

What you will be working on
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
1) Review of Resources, Reliability, and Efficiency of Operations
-The officer will compile and review information, such as manpower and equipment availability, efficiency indices, and other relevant data, to assess operational resiliency and efficiency.
-The officer is also expected to collaborate with Operations Departments to ensure the Operational Resilience Review Dashboard (ORIS) is regularly updated, enabling effective monitoring of system performance and tracking of key parameters to detect undesirable trends or potential equipment failures.
2) Conduct After Action Reviews (AARs) with Operations Departments
-The officer is expected to work with Operations Departments to conduct ad-hoc AARs of operational incidents, with the aim of enhancing the resilience of systems and equipment to prevent recurrence.
3) Facilitate as Part of the Secretariat for the Operational Audit Panel (OAP) [conducted once a year]
-The officer is expected to lead the planning and implementation of the OAP programme and schedule, with support from other Secretariat members.
4) Review Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
-The officer is expected to work with the Enterprise Risk Management Office to review and monitor KRIs necessary to ensure overall system resilience.
5) Collaboration with External Agencies
-The officer is expected to collaborate with external agencies to analyse the inter-dependency of PUB systems with external systems (e.g., power, communications, etc.) and recommend solutions to improve the resilience of water systems.
6) Review and Streamline Workflows
-The officer is expected to review the aforementioned workflows to enhance efficiency through automation.
What we are looking for
• Degree in Engineering
• Has experience in data analytics or data science work
• A leader and a good team player, and able to work and think critically and independently
• Good system thinking skills, and savvy in information technology
• Good communication (both oral and written) as well as presentation skills
